The Namesake directed by Mira Nair
This was a far more positive take than Jhumpa Lahiri's original novel. Mira Nair was able to find and weave in the positives of the Asian American experience in a beautiful and empowering way. Loved this movie. It WILL make you cry -- bring tissues!
